First-time buyers Harri and Georgie had been living down the road from the development for some time, and felt that now was the right time to buy. The couple used the Government’s Help to Buy scheme to buy their new home, meaning that they only needed a 5% deposit to secure their new home. The rest was covered by a 75% mortgage, and a 20% loan from the Government.
“There are only a few developments in Brighton and Hove that have properties on the Help to Buy scheme, so when we saw Artisan being built we were really interested.”
While drawn to the great location and fantastic quality of the properties, it was the communal rooftop and private balcony that had them sold.
“We can’t wait for the summer months when we can sunbathe and chill out on the balcony after work. We love that there’s a private balcony, but also a communal terrace which will be a great way to meet our neighbours.”
Praising the size of the rooms at the development and the luxuriously fitted kitchen and bathrooms,
Georgie commented that:
“My sister bought a Crest Nicholson property, and we could see that the quality was really high, while also offering good value for money. The apartment we’ve bought is spacious and light. We couldn’t have asked for more.”
Both Harri and Georgie work in marketing, and commute to Southampton and London most days. The nearby train station at Hove makes commuting to London simple, while the convenient access to the M3 puts Southampton within easy reach.
The couple decided to stay in the Seven Dials area of Hove because of its community feel and fantastic selection of shops and restaurants. Harri said, “We enjoy eating out and being close to the sea, so Seven Dials is a great place for us to live. With our families living close by too, it feels like the perfect place for us to call home.”
Homes at Artisan are available from £349,950 and can be bought using the Help to Buy* scheme.
