Local family get helping hand in move to Crest Nicholson’s Nightingale Fields

Amy and Ed Field had been saving for several years before finding their dream home at Crest Nicholson’s Nightingale Fields in Wokingham. Using the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, the couple and their children, aged nineteen, eleven and five, were able to move to a home which allows them to spend more time together as a family, while remaining in close proximity to the local schools.

The Fields had been renting the same house in Finchampstead for twelve years, providing them with an insight into exactly the type of property that they were looking for, and they were just waiting for the right one to come along. Amy said, “this was our first move in a long-time, so it needed to be the right home for the whole family. We knew that we were looking for a home close to the kids’ schools, and somewhere with plenty of room for them to run around and enjoy the outdoors.”

Their new home has been a huge success with their two younger children, aged five and eleven. Ed commented, “the kids really love it here. There’s a beautiful new play park on the development which we know will be a big hit in the summer months, and the surrounding ponds and country parks are perfect terrain for our two youngest.”

While their new home ticks all the boxes for their children, Amy and Ed are also sure that they’ve found a home for years to come that also suits their needs too. Both of them work as serviceLocal family get helping hand in move to Crest Nicholson’s Nightingale Fields managers in Newbury, and with their new home at Nightingale Fields perfectly positioned close to the M4, they can get to work in just 30 minutes.

But it’s not all work and study. Dad Ed has big plans for their new home, and is planning to build an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and seating area, perfect for hosting family get-togethers in the summer months.

The family used the Government’s Help to Buy scheme to buy their new home, meaning that they only needed a 5% deposit to secure their new home. The rest was covered by a 75% mortgage, and a 20% loan from the Government. For Amy, “using the Help to Buy scheme certainly meant that our money went much further, it helped us to buy a forever home.”

“The biggest plus point for us has been the fantastic sales team at Nightingale Fields. They’ve been so fantastically helpful and have created a quick and easy experience which was far better than we had hoped.”
