Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes are gearing up for their new Ladden Garden Village developments in Yate, by backing an important community fundraising event.
The five star housebuilders are sponsoring the forthcoming Yate Relay for Life, which takes place on 7 and 8 July - and the £1,000 donation will support this local fundraising event for Cancer Research UK.
“We know how important Yate Relay for Life is, in terms of raising money for this vital charity, and we want to show our support for those taking part,” said Barratt Homes sales director, Andrea Pilgrim.
“This 24-hour event brings the community together to fundraise, celebrate better cancer survival rates and remember loved ones lost - and I can’t think of a better cause to be supporting as we prepare to bring new homes to the area.”
Yate Relay for Life is completely unique to the local area and is enjoyed by many people. It is run by volunteers and has grown significantly over the years. With this years fundraising target of £70,000 - our support will help Yate Relay For Life move a step closer to hitting their grand total, since its beginnings 13 years ago, to an impressive £500,000.
“We are pleased to be backing this important local event - with funds raised going towards the vital work carried out by Cancer Research UK,” said David Wilson Homes sales director, Louise Ware. “We are delighted to be bringing new homes to this wonderful, close knit, community - and would like to wish those involved all the very best in raising lots on money on 7 and 8 July.”
Beverley Sadier, volunteer event manager for Yate Relay for Life, added:
“We’d like to thank Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes for their support. It enables us to pay for the essentials at Yate Relay for Life - meaning 100 percent of all money raised goes to life-saving research.”
Ladden Garden Village will be a brand new community of two, three and four bedroom homes in Yate. When complete it will also offer a nursery, primary school, local centre, allotments and sports pitches.
