More Than £3.5m To Be Invested In Northamptonshire

More than £3.5 million is set to be invested in and around the Northamptonshire market town of Thrapston thanks to Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ new development.

The funding, which totals £3,508,494, forms part of the planning agreement for the new development, located on Market Road, and will be used to support services and improve facilities for both new and existing residents of the town.

Among the contributions are £1.7 million towards primary and £1.3 million towards secondary education, as well as £100,000 for public transport and an £80,000 library contribution.

Barratt Homes’ development Charter’s Gate and David Wilson Homes’ site The Nurseries will bring a range of different properties to the market town.

John Dillon, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “Investing into local communities is an extremely important part of building a new housing development.

“As a five star housebuilder, we pride ourselves on our commitment to the local community and strive to support it wherever we can.”

Adam Knight, Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire Managing Director added: “As our development continues to progress we will not only be contributing to the area financially, but also in terms of the jobs we have created for local people and the quality homes we are building.” More Than £3.5m To Be Invested In Northamptonshire
