Family Exchange Home And Upsize To Join New Wixams Community

A Bedfordshire family of four have found the ideal solution to upsizing and selling their existing property at Wixams newest development Willow Grove thanks to its bespoke Part Exchange scheme.
Jemma and Ian Smith (both 36) moved into their new David Wilson home on the development recently with their daughters Sienna (four) and Poppy (two) and are already enjoying the growing community flourishing in the new homes.

They upsized from their three bedroom townhouse – also located in Wixams - after recognising that whilst they loved the area, they needed a bigger home for the whole family.

Using the Part Exchange scheme meant the family received a guaranteed buyer at fair market value, taking the stress away of having to sell their own home and allowing them to move into their new property as soon as it was ready.

Jemma said: “After having our second child we decided it was time for more room. We loved Wixams and wanted to stay in the area so were very lucky when we saw the properties at David Wilson Homes’ development were available.

“We love the community feel of Wixams as a whole, we have made lots of friends and there are a lot of parks for our children to play. The local schools are excellent and it gives us very easy access to both the A1 and M1 needed for work.
“We chose David Wilson Homes because we could tell the standard of quality was very high from the start and the design and layout of Willow Grove was exactly what we were looking for.Family Exchange Home And Upsize To Join New Wixams Community
“Having moved to a new build property when I was five I have lots of fond memories of looking around the show homes and seeing the builders on site, we always tend to look at new builds as it’s great having the options and seeing the progress of the house being built."

The family’s detached four bedroom property provides them with the space they need to grow as a family whilst the living and dining areas are perfect for when they entertain friends.

The friendly and inclusive community means they can all benefit from a lot of regular events that bring everyone together. The popular schools and the local village hall have clubs and groups that each family member can enjoy.

Jemma added: “Our neighbours are lovely and it is great now that more people are moving into the street and we have all introduced ourselves to each other.

“The whole moving process for us was extremely easy, we received the very best service from the sales team and were kept fully up to date the whole way through.

“We wanted the easiest house move possible as both myself and husband were busy with work and family life. We decided to use the nominated solicitors and this also helped to speed things up.

“We decided to go with the Part Exchange option so that we could reserve our new home immediately. This was very easy. Local estate agents valued our property and a price was then suggested to us by David Wilson Homes. We were very happy with the fair price we received and accepted.”

Through the winter months Jemma and Ian have found their new home to be very energy efficient and have rarely had to turn the heating on because of the warmth of the property.

Whilst having the finest aspects of rural living close to home, residents at Willow Grove will be excellently linked to Bedford and towns and cities further afield such as Milton Keynes and London.

The development is also impeccably positioned to take advantage of fast trains from Bedford, providing connections to London St Pancras, Leicester, Nottingham and Birmingham New Street as well as local services.

High quality schooling options and an array of nearby leisure, dining and shopping amenities make for a delightful place to call home.
