Fresh Starts and Old Friends For Family at Marston Fields

Dominic Barker (35), originally from Luton, wanted his children, Mason (10) and Isabelle (4) to experience their childhood in a peaceful village where there is a friendly atmosphere.

The family were the first to move in on their street at Barratt Homes’ Marston Fields development in Marston Moretaine, and were looking forward to greeting fresh faces as others moved in at the development.

Much to their surprise, amongst their new neighbours was an old friend of Dominic’s. Dominic said, “An old friend from university also moved in, I hadn’t seen him since 2005, we were friends at university and used to play football together. I hadn’t seen him in years and there he was moving into a home on our street. It was a big surprise!”

Alongside Dominic’s old friend from university were neighbours that have made the family fall in love with Marston Fields even more, “All of our neighbours are wonderful and very friendly. A lot of them are young families with children around the same age as Mason and Isabelle.”

The family moved into a Queensville style home, equipped with four bedrooms, an open plan kitchen/dining area, French doors opening out onto the rear garden and a separate living room on the first floor.

Dominic loved the design and layout of his home which is why they chose the property. Dominic continued, “We bought the house because it had two reception rooms. The ground floor is a great entertaining space and this is where we have guests when they come over. We keep the living room on the first floor as a family room just for my wife, kids and I.

“We’ve also turned the fourth bedroom on the ground floor into a cloakroom which is extremely useful when you have two children!”Fresh Starts and Old Friends For Family at Marston Fields

What they loved most about their experience with their new Barratt home was the exceptional customer service they received from the site team. Dominic said, “Raveena, our Sales Adviser, is amazing at her job. We added in some extras to our home and she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our property. Any issues that we had early on were sorted immediately by the site team.”

Despite always living in large towns, the family were happy to be surrounded by local amenities on their doorstep. Dominic concluded, “You can find all the main necessities in Marston Moretaine, which is exactly what we wanted. The schools in the area are great and Bedford is only nine miles away if we ever needed it.”

There are three, four and five bedroom homes for sale at Marston Fields ranging in prices from £295,000 to £500,000.
