A couple have recently been able to secure their dream home, using proceeds from a previous house sale and the Help to Buy scheme at Marston Fields in Bedfordshire.
Dominic (46) and James (41) Chapman-Hunt recently decided that they wanted to buy their first house together and upsize and they fell in love with an Eden style property at the David Wilson Homes development in Marston Moretaine.

The Government backed Help to Buy scheme allows buyers to purchase a home with just a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is funded by an equity loan, interest-free for the first five years and repayable on the sale on the home.
The couple chose a new build property because everything is built to the latest standards. 
James said: “I really liked the idea of a new build home because everything in the property needs a lot less maintenance than buying a previously owned house. We had always liked the difference in quality that David Wilson houses had and one of our friends had moved into a David Wilson home nearby and we were very impressed with the build and design. Now, we both can’t wait to get back to our house at the end of a busy day. Just getting through the front door and settling down is amazing. We still find ourselves walking around the house, amazed that we own such a wonderful home.”
